Mill Creek Skatepark

Park is done and it's pretty disappointing to say the least. Many flaws and lack of co-operation between planners, city council and the people who actually are going to ride the park made it what it is.

The bowl measures about 8' in the deep and 4' in the shallow. It's got sunken (flush) coping which makes it harder to stay on. Way too much flat, you gotta work it in order to get anywhere in the deep section. The transitions are varied and a tad flawed and you can see some future problems arising with the gaps in between where they did the crete pours.

The street area is utter crap. Horrid layout and lines leading into stairs. The worst thing is that we had a great plan and they scratched it because they wanted to "appeal to the youth".

Hey news flash morons, not everyone who skateboards is under the age of 13.

Grindline was going to get the bowl done, but the conservative and spineless chickenshit city council fell into the police departments demand to make the bowl smaller so the cops can look in there. Better demolish all the buildings, cut down all the trees and destroy all dugouts/bigtoys/bridges and put up cameras on every corner. Yes, Orson Welles 1984 is alive and kicking just SE of Everett.

DIRECTIONS:

I-5 take the 164th St. Exit, it also says "Mill Creek". Head east. Go about 2 miles to the major intersection with the Bothell-Everett HWY. Take a left and head north about 3 miles. Park is on the left can't miss it. If you pass a gas station you went a tad bit too far.
